PROJECT MANAGER (Motion Graphics and Animation)
We’re looking for a middleweight Project Manager to help produce motion graphics and animation alongside our friendly design team.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to develop your career within our growing company. You will work closely with our clients (typically production companies, broadcasters, creative directors) taking and interpreting briefs. You’ll work with our designers, ensuring they have all the information and assets they need to exceed client expectations in the work that we deliver. You will liaise with fellow suppliers, creatives and technicians to problem-solve solutions for the smoothest possible delivery of a project. Being an excellent and personable communicator is essential.
Just as the role will often involve working in a fast-paced environment, so it will involve honed organisational skills, ensuring projects are scheduled efficiently and budgeted for accurately. You will manage several projects at once, so the ability to multi-task is also key to the role.

Transferable skills will be taken into consideration for the role (relevant industries listed below), and so you’ll have a desire to learn on the job and expand your knowledge within our areas of work. Passion for the creative industries is an absolute must.
Skills & Experience
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the creative industries, in one or more of the following areas: television production, advertising, online/digital content, live events, theatre, animation, motion graphics, graphic design
• Practice at taking and clarifying creative briefs from clients
• A basic familiarity of design software such as Adobe CC, especially After Effects, and Cinema 4D (or equivalent 3d software)
• The ability to quote for a job, allowing for potential pitfalls and unforeseen circumstances
• Experience of monitoring a budget
• Experience of planning and executing a schedule with milestones
• Experience and interest in working closely with design professionals
• The ability to multi-task and remain cool and calm under pressure
• An aptitude to critique constructively visual design
• Strong computer literacy - working knowledge of Google Drive/MS Office

• Full-time
• Salary approximately £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
• Flexible working (standard hours 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, some weekend working required)
• Time off in lieu and overtime bonuses available

We are currently looking for students to join us on our Summer Intern Scheme.
We’re looking for Motion Graphics/Animation students to come join us at Potion Pictures for our Intern Scheme. Each placement is 2-4 weeks long. Expenses for London based travel and lunch will be covered and if we assign you any commercial work whilst you’re with us, we’ll pay you a daily rate. The scheme best suits those looking to use your After Effects skills, or possibly Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Illustrator or Premiere. We can’t predict exactly what projects you’ll be involved with, but it should provide a decent overview of what happens on a day-to-day basis in the industry and the type of work we do at Potion Pictures.
